Absolute Poker Review
Summary:
Absolute Poker is roughly the fourth largest online poker
room and offers a nice sign up bonus, frequent reload
bonuses, very good online poker software, frequent
tournaments and an option to play in their no download poker
room. |
Absolute Poker is the world's fourth
largest online poker room offering worldwide access to multi-player
online games 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Absolute Poker has
over 12,000+ players online at peak hours. Established in 2003, they
won Gaming Online Magazine's Top New Poker Site award of 2004 as
voted by the actual reader's of this popular magazine.

Absolute
Poker has a very nice poker room with nice features and
graphics. One thing you will notice about Absolute Poker
is the frequent software updates and enhancements to
their online poker room. They certainly seem to be
committed to improving their poker room. The online
poker room offers real time chat, player notes, hand
histories and a unique image feature that allows you to
have your own identity at the table. Definitely better
than some ugly cartoon character that other places
offer! |
And now with Absolute Poker's Instant
Play software you can play online poker at Absolute anywhere at
anytime. Instant Play allow you to access you player account from
any PC with an Internet connection.
Absolute Poker also offers blackjack
to its players. I've never played blackjack at Absolute so I can't
comment on it. When I am in the mood to play some blackjack I
personally like to play at Bodog's flash casino.
Absolute Poker currently offers a 100%
bonus on your first deposit up to $500. They also offer a ton of
reload bonuses so if you are worried about not taking full advantage
of the big sign up bonus to start, don't worry, you'll have other
opportunities for additional bonuses for Absolute Poker.

Customer support at Absolute is very
good. I have contacted support twice and both time I received a
quick reply. It was only a couple of simple questions and no major
issue. The response was courteous and answered my question
thoroughly.
When it comes to getting money in and
out of your account, Absolute Poker offers a variety of easy-to-use
deposit options, fast withdrawals, and keeps your funds safe and
secure by holding your poker winnings as cash with a top tier
European bank. At Absolute Poker you can deposit and withdraw funds
using the standard options such as Neteller, Click2Pay and others.
For players from the USA I recommend using Visa (as long as your
bank doesn't block the transaction), ePassporte or by Money
Transfer. My credit card company doesn't allow me to deposit at
Absolute so I personally use ePassporte for deposit and withdrawals.
Since ePassporte is also and option at the other poker rooms that I
play at, it's a great option.
Absolute Poker now offers a deposit
call center for fast and easy credit card transactions. Having used
this call center. I found then very helpful and would recommend
anyone new to online poker or to Absolute to give them a call.
One of the coolest new variations of
Texas Holdem Poker at Absolute is Bad Beat Texas Holdem. By playing
at one of the bad beat jackpot tables you can actually win when you
suffer a bad beat. If you are playing at one of the Bad Beat Jackpot
tables at Absolute Poker and you lose a hand holding four eights
(8888) or a anything better, that’s a bad beat and you win the Bad
Beat Jackpot. But that's not all, the winner of the hand gets a
share of the prize and so do the rest of the players seated at the
table!

Check out just a few of the Bad Beat
Jackpots that have been won at Absolute Poker - $162,628.21,
$104,050.68, $73,011.10, $38,969.87, $12,996.20, $8,697.81 You can
find out more about Bad beat Poker and all of the huge prizes that
have been won by visiting Absolute Poker.
The Bad Beat Jackpot tables have
“jackpot” written in brackets after the table name and will be
categorized in red text in the lobby. And you can play them at a
bunch of different limits not just high limits as one would expect.
For those of you who are big fans of
playing in tournaments, Absolute Poker offers plenty of real money
and freeroll tournaments. They are a great place for tournament
action, including Single Table, Multi Table and one of the very few
online poker sites to offer Private tournaments to its real money
players. The sit & go no limit Holdem fun tourneys are extremely
popular, along with 40 daily freeroll tournaments.
Absolute Poker also has a Tourney
Leader Board feature. This is based on a point tracking system
designed to rank the top tournament players using place of finish,
number of tournament entries, and buy-in as factors determining
points earned for single and multi table tournaments. This showcases
Absolute's top tournament players on weekly, monthly and yearly
basis. The winner of the Tournament Leader Board each week receives
the opportunity to play in the Mark Seif $1,500 heads up shoot out
freeroll.

As with many of the other leading
online poker rooms, Absolute Poker offers players the chance to
attend major poker events worldwide.
One downside to Absolute Poker is that
play can sometimes be slow. That is because Absolute gives it
players more time to act than at other online poker rooms. Beginners
may find the extra time helpful but this may annoy some of the more
experienced players. But with so many players online at any given
time you shouldn't have a problem finding another table.
My Bottom line at Absolute Poker is
that it is a solid online poker room for low to middle limit Texas
Holdem Poker. If you want high limits check out
PokerStars
or
Full Tilt Poker instead.
Also, many players like the ability to play blackjack at Absolute as
well. So if you are looking for a mostly online poker room with a
twist - Bad Beat Holdem and Blackjack you should find Absolute Poker
an enjoyable place to play.
